Our Story
Hi, I’m Justin Steinmetz, owner of Ten Mile Construction. Since working on light commercial and residential projects in Powell Wyoming as a summer job during high school, construction has been my passion. I am inspired by watching the project come to life from an idea to a finished result.
After high school, I became a foreman, then a project manager working with several construction companies. Working residential remodel projects taught me things like proper job site management, how to build a schedule, and some tricks of the trade. The most important thing I learned back then was just how personal the client’s connection with their home is.
After a few years, I moved into heavy commercial projects. I managed some large scale state and federal projects, including jobs for the Montana Department of Transportation, the Federal Reserve Bank, and the Department of Military Affairs. While I learned a lot in this role, I felt called back to residential construction by my passion for the craftsmanship.
In 2017, I founded Ten Mile Construction with a vision to become Helena’s premier remodel contractor. Helena is full of amazing homes with rich history. We specialize in bringing modern convenience and building techniques to these homes while maintaining their charm and character, and respecting their history.
